Gingival recession is the apical migration of the ginigval margin to the cementoenamel junction. This is a fairly common clinical condition for which patients often seek treatment for. Fortunately, soft tissue grafting procedures are highly predictable in correcting these mucoginigval deficiencies around natural teeth. Succesful management in treating gingival recession defects requires a good understanding the diagnosis, etiology, and technique choice.
