COURSE OUTLINE
Learn minimally invasive treatment modalities for veneer and partial veneer for excellent reproduction of the tooth structure with focus on the importance of diagnostic wax up, teeth preparation, the provisional stage, the bonding protocol and cementation strategy for adhesive restoration.
Learning Objectives:
• Describe the fundamental principles of veneer and partial veneer preparation
• Explain preparation of indirect veneer and partial veneer, designs, type of margins and provisional stages.
• Discuss various impression techniques for veneer/ partial coverage.
• Identify the available luting cements that are suitable for individual cases.
• Discuss the importance of surface treatments prior to the cementation procedure.
• Discuss the importance of pre-record comprehensive diagnostic work-out, mockup / wax.

What you will learn:
1. Segmental focus on 2 aspects of Endodontics that enhance the outcome of root canal treatments after rotary instrumentation.
2. Irrigation and obturation to be done under magnification with indirect vision and rubber dam isolation.
3. Exposure to magnification, ultrasonics and heated obturation equipment.
4. Workshop entails
• Refining access cavities on natural teeth
• Rotary Vs Reciprocating file exposure on acrylic blocks and natural teeth
• Refining Irrigation protocol and activation of irrigants
• Obturation technique with bioceramic sealer and troubleshooting

Part 1: Essential Theories (3S Concept: Swiftly, Smoothly and Safely)
1. Patient evaluation and management
• Relevant medical history
• Assessment and classification of impacted third molar with radiographic evaluation
• Indication for surgical removal
• Informed consent: Patient expectations, risk and complications of surgery
2. Surgery
• Preoperative pharmacotherapy: Pre-emptive analgesia and antibiotic prophylaxis
• Equipment and armamentarium with key infection control measures
• Anaesthesia techniques, and role of nitrous oxide and intravenous sedation
• Surgical removal of impacted tooth: Flap Design, guttering of bone, sectioning of tooth techniques, suture and wound closure techniques
