Advanced Course in Microscopic Endodontics

Course

The use of Dental Operating Microscope (DOM) in endodontics has become an accepted norm in recent years. While almost all specialist endodontists are trained in using DOM, the use is still not prevalent in general practice. The benefits of doing endodontics under DOM are multi-fold. Apart from having good magnification and improved lighting where the practitioners could see more, many delicate procedures could be performed better with visual acuity. Perforation repair, retrieving separated instruments, finding calcified canals and etc. are some of the procedures best performed under DOM.

This 2-day advance course is targeted to practitioners:

  • Who have already some good basic endodontic knowledge and skills.
  • Who want to try out what magnification could offer.
  • Who already owned a DOM or considering to acquire a DOM.
  • Who just want to have some fun with DOM.

Learning Objectives:

  • After the course, participants should have the knowledge of:
  • How to incorporate the DOM in their endodontic practice.
  • Ergonomic concepts in improving working comfort.
  • The use of ultrasonics in relation with endodontics.
  • Locating calcified / missed canals.
  • Removing separated instruments.
  • Perforation repair.
  • Preparing C shaped canals.
