DR. IRENE LAU
Dr. Irene Lau was born in Hong Kong and raised in the United States. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nutrition Science from Purdue University before completing her Doctor of Dental Surgery at New York University College of Dentistry in 2003.
She later pursued postgraduate training in pediatric dentistry at Mount Sinai Medical Center, where she obtained her pediatric dentistry accreditation. Dr. Lau has practiced internationally in Chicago, New York, and Beijing, combining clinical practice with a strong focus on pediatric and special needs dentistry. She is also a clinical lecturer at the Prince Philip Dental Hospital, contributing to dental education in Hong Kong.
She is the founder of Hello Smile Hong Kong, a non-profit initiative focused on children’s oral health, and a co-founder of multiple multidisciplinary dental clinics including Central Smile Limited and T.O.P Dental by Family Smile Limited. Her clinical and academic work is centered on improving access to pediatric dental care, particularly for underserved communities and children with special healthcare needs.
