DR. KOTARO OYAMA

Dr. Kotaro Oyama graduated from Nippon Dental University, the largest dental university in the world, with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1997, where he received the high achiever performance awards for 6 consecutive years. He then pursued a one year postgraduate program in dentistry at the Japan Postgraduate Dental Association. In 2003, Dr. Kotaro started an internship program in implant dentistry at Loma Linda University (LLU) School of Dentistry before completing a 3-year Advanced Education Program in Implant Dentistry at LLU. He later went on to obtain a Master of Science degree in Implant Dentistry at LLU in 2008. Dr. Kotaro continues to be active in clinical practice, teaching and publication. He is an Adjunct Assistant Professor under Restorative Dentistry at the LLU School of Dentistry, as well as a Clinical Assistant Professor at Nippon Dental University. He also lectures extensively at seminars, conferences and annual symposiums/meetings, both in Japan and internationally. He has published several scientific articles in national and international publications, including The International Journal of Oral & Maxillofacial Implants and Journal of Prosthodontics. Dr. Kotaro has his own private practice in Tokyo, which focuses on dental implant and restorative dentistry.
