Dr. Niloufar Amintavakoli received her DDS degree at Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences in Tehran, Iran in 2008 and her masters in oral and maxillofacial radiology from the University of Toronto, Canada in 2013. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology (ABOMR), a fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada (RCDC) and an active member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology (AAOMR). She practiced as an Oral and maxillofacial radiologist in Toronto, Canada before joining New York University College of Dentistry in 2015. Dr. Amintavakoli is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology, Radiology and Medicine and the Director of Oral Radiology at NYU College of Dentistry. She has several publications and book chapters, and has been active in multiple research projects in different fields related to oral and maxillofacial radiology and cone beam CT scans.
