Dr. Sharifah Tahirah Aljunid received her Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the University of Sheffield. She completed her postgraduate programme in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Malaya, and also obtained a Certificate in Implantology from the University of Bern, Switzerland.

She is also the current chairwoman of Strasbourg Osteosynthesis Research Group (SORG) for South-East Asia and a Fellow of the International Team for Implantology (ITI). She gives back to the community by organising ITI study clubs as a way to advance continuing education for dental surgeons. Dr. Sharifah was also the past president of the Malaysian Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons (MAOMS).
