After obtaining his First Class Bachelor of dental surgery (BDS VMU) from Penang International Dental College (PIDC) in 2015, Dr Leong Yi Xian began his one and a half years of public service as a dental officer serving in Perak.  During his stint, he was exposed to different specialties including oral surgery and paediatric dentistry and participated in many community outreach where he provided personalised services catered to the needs of the indigenous living in remote area with limited dental health support.

Dr Leong strives to keep himself updated by attending conferences and courses organised by various dental bodies.  He completed his Fellowship in Periodontology and Implantology from Genova University, Italy in 2017 and obtained Part I of The Diploma of Membership of the Joint Dental Faculties from the Royal College of Surgeons of England (MIJDF RCS ENG) in April 2017.

2019 is Dr Leong's third year as Treasurer of the PIDC alumni and he actively organised community outreach program for the alumni.  Dr Leong has special interest in Periodontology and joined Artius Dental Group under the mentorship of Dr Jeanette Chua.  He also continues to participate in community outreach programs and helps run CSR projects for Artius Dental Group.
