Dr. Nobu is from Japan and has over thirty years of full-time experience in clinical care, research, and teaching in the field of Temporomandibular Disorders (TMDs) and Orofacial Pain. He obtained his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the Matsumoto Dental School in 1983 and his Master's degree at the University of Sydney in 1992.

Also, he completed a clinical fellowship in TMD/Orofacial Pain at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in 1994. He passed the American Board of Orofacial Pain (ABOP) certification examination and became a Diplomate of ABOP in 1996. Currently, he is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Dentistry, Universiti Teknologi MARA in Malaysia.
